Care & Safety

Handcrafted wood products can last virtually forever with proper care, conditioning, and safety measures.

First and foremost, never submerge wood products in water and be careful about what you allow to sit on the surface of wood. For example, those yummy strawberries you want to include on your charcuterie board should be placed in a cute bowl or on wax paper because berries stain wood and it's difficult to remove the stain.

Products with Food Grade Finishes:  Your treasure is finished with food grade walnut oil, wood butter or wood wax. Take care when choosing the types of foods you place directly on the board because it could cause staining of the wood. After use, wipe down with a warm wet cloth and dry. Do not soak in water. Keep the wood conditioned with the food grade wood butter (sold online or at our "in-store / market" locations or food grade wood wax/oil of your choosing.

Wooden Vases & Vessels:  Your vase/vessel has been carefully finished to highlight and preserve the natural beauty of the wood. To maintain it, simply dust or wipe with a damp cloth as needed. The glass insert in the vase should be cleaned and refilled regularly to keep flowers fresh. Please avoid submerging the wooden vase in water so it can be enjoyed for years to come.

Candleholders:  Your candleholder was designed to be used with a Flameless Flickering Tea Light candle. Although we have provided you with a real tea light candle, we recommend flameless candles for your safety. Fire is dangerous and candleholders can tip over. If, at your own risk, you choose to use a standard tea light candle be sure to follow all safety instructions included with any candle you purchase or the one provided and practice basic fire safety measures always. Never leave a flame unattended.
